8K is all the rage

If you're in the market for a new AV receiver soon, make sure it will be compatible with the new range of TV's and devices being launched from 2020 with 8K resolution. Samsung and LG both have 8K TV's available now, the new Sony Playstation 5 and the XBox Series X will have 8K during the course of this year.
We've come a long way since high-definition, HD changed the way we watched movies and TV, bringing a lot more resolution to the picture. 4K was hot on its heels - and if any of you are fortunate to enjoy a true 4K picture, you would know just how incredible and lifelike your viewing has become. Well push that all aside, and make way for the new generation of 8K viewing coming into play. One would assume 8K would provide double the resolution of 4K - but it actually provides 4 times more pixels than 4K. It's hard to imagine how clear that could be, you'll see this soon enough at your local TV shops.
Considering a quality AV Receiver from Marantz or Denon will last you for the next 10 years - it is important it will have enough features now, that will see you comfortably into the next decade. Fortunately the latest 8K receivers will do just that, and have every feature including automatic updates that will continuously add features to your new AVR.
If your home theatre amplifier is not next generation compatible, expect to do another upgrade in the coming years.
