Product Overview

The Aeotec Door/Window Sensor Gen5 detects whether a door or window is open or closed using two magnetic units—one attached to the moving part and the other to the frame. It sends instant alerts to up to five associated Z-Wave devices for enhanced home security.

Installation is simple and flexible, using screws or double-sided tape, with no wiring needed as it is battery-operated. The sensor notifies you when batteries need replacing through LED flashes and alerts sent to your central controller. It also features tamper control that triggers an alarm if the device is interfered with.

Utilising the latest Z-Wave Plus technology, this sensor offers an extended wireless range of up to 90 metres in open spaces and ultra-low power consumption, ensuring longer battery life without interfering with other home technologies.
