Aten VC081A — True 4K HDMI EDID emulator adapter that learns and stores a display's EDID to prevent video communication errors, and keeps a PC or server awake when no physical monitor is connected.
The VC081A solves two common HDMI headaches. First, it eliminates the EDID synchronisation failures that cause blank screens when a video source and display cannot agree on a supported format — the adapter learns the display's EDID and presents it reliably to the source even if the display is unplugged. Second, it acts as a ghost display for headless servers: without a monitor, many PCs drop to low-power states or disable GPU outputs; the VC081A emulates the display and keeps the machine fully awake for remote access over IP. A dedicated Learn Button Switch captures and saves the EDID with a single press. Supports True 4K video transmission.
