Overview
Even the most perfect AC power sources add distortion within any AC cable, introducing Transient Intermodulation Distortion (TIM) as RF noise modulates low-level audio and video signals. The NRG-Y3 cable addresses this challenge by using direction-controlled Long-Grain Copper strands in a semi-solid concentric conductor arrangement, where strands are tightly packed and maintain fixed positions to significantly reduce distortion.
The cable’s silver-plated shield conductors efficiently drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third ground pin, resulting in powerful, dynamic, and immersive sound and video performance.
Technical Details
Semi-Solid Concentric Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors: Unlike conventional multi-strand cables where strand movement increases distortion, the semi-solid concentric design keeps strands fixed, reducing electrical and magnetic strand interaction.
