CYP CRS-232 — RS-232 serial extender transmitting bidirectional RS-232 control signals over a single CAT5e cable (or better) to distances up to 250m, supporting baud rates from 110 to 921,600bps for AV control system integration and digital signage applications.

The CRS-232 removes the 15m cable length limitation of standard RS-232 by using standard structured CAT5e/6/7 cabling already present in the building. Any RS-232-compatible device can be connected at either end of the extended link for full bidirectional serial control. The wide baud rate range (110–921,600bps) with 8-bit data supports virtually all commercial control systems, media players, and digital signage controllers. A typical application is extending the RS-232 control port of a display, projector, or AV device to a control system rack located up to 250m away.
