The PERM-EDGE165-HD-AW uses an acoustically woven (AW) screen material that allows sound to pass through the screen surface with minimal attenuation, enabling front speakers and centre channels to be placed directly behind the image plane. This eliminates the need for speakers to the sides of a large screen and produces a more natural dialogue localisation with the sound source aligning with the on-screen action. At 165 inches diagonal in 16:9, it is suited to dedicated home cinema rooms with a proper acoustic layout.
