The Imix DM-7002 is a dynamic microphone designed specifically for close-miking drums. Dynamic drum microphones are built to handle the very high sound pressure levels generated close to a drum shell or kick drum port — levels that would clip a standard vocal or instrument microphone. The DM-7002 is suited to kick drum, snare, floor tom, and rack tom miking applications, providing the punch and transient attack characteristic of a good drum microphone. A single DM-7002 can be used as a replacement or addition to an existing drum microphone set, or multiple units can be purchased to mic the full kit. XLR output connects to any mixing console or stage box.
