The HINT 6 is Parasound’s premier integrated amplifier, succeeding the acclaimed original Halo Integrated model. It features a massive 1.1 kVA toroidal power transformer with independent secondary windings, delivering up to 270 watts per channel simultaneously with minimal hum and excellent stereo imaging.

Its built-in DAC uses an ultra-high resolution ESS Sabre32® Reference chip, supporting asynchronous USB input and multiple digital inputs (2 optical, 1 coaxial) for superior sound quality compared to most digital source components.

The amplifier includes an innovative analog bass management system with high and low pass crossovers, allowing easy integration of subwoofers in both two-channel and multi-channel setups. The home theatre bypass input enables seamless switching between stereo and surround sound operation, improving left and right channel performance in home theatre systems.

The volume control employs a Burr-Brown electronically controlled analog IC with an external high-performance operational amplifier and dedicated power supply, ensuring the lowest noise and distortion for pristine audio reproduction.

Additional features include a high-quality phono preamp with selectable load/gain, balanced XLR inputs and outputs, subwoofer outputs, tone controls with bypass, and a dedicated headphone amplifier based on the Texas Instruments TPA6120A chip.
