Technology Details

QED’s X-Tube™ technology places the conductor around a hollow insulating rod, eliminating the ‘skin effect’ that pushes high-frequency signals to the conductor’s surface. Combined with Aircore™ technology, this reduces the ‘proximity effect’, ensuring even and consistent signal delivery. The resulting X-Tube™ Plus geometry guarantees superior audio performance across all frequencies.

The Golden Anniversary XT uses a hybrid blend of 99.999% oxygen-free copper (OFC) and Ultra-Pure Ohno Continuous Cast Copper (UP-OCC), offering improved transient response and high-frequency detail at an affordable price point.

Its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) insulation, combined with the X-Tube Plus design, provides high efficiency and minimal signal dissipation.

Airloc™ Forte banana plugs feature a cold-weld system that permanently attaches the plugs to the cable, preventing oxidation and ensuring a reliable connection for the cable's lifetime.
