The CA-08 SP is a matched pair of Rycote's standard cardioid capsules with integrated SuperPhysical (SP) suspension. The cardioid polar pattern offers a wider acceptance angle than the SC-08, making it well-suited to capturing natural ambience, orchestral performance, and location sound where a broad, open stereo image is preferred. The SP suspension in each capsule prevents low-frequency handling vibration from reaching the capsule, protecting recordings on boom pole or handheld applications. Matched sensitivity ensures tight stereo coherence across the pair.
