Product Overview

The Aura CS is part of Wharfedale’s innovative Aura series, inspired by the flagship ELYSIAN range. It challenges conventional speaker value by delivering detailed, energetic sound with a class-leading performance at a competitive price.

The unique AMT transducer differs from traditional dome or ribbon diaphragms by using a folded diaphragm with conductive elements in a strong magnetic field, resulting in wide bandwidth, low distortion, and exceptional musical detail with scintillating speed and dynamic ability.

Midrange and bass drivers feature proprietary woven glass fibre cones and high-flux magnetic fields with copper-clad pole pieces, mounted on die-cast aluminium chassis fixed by high-tensile bolts to maintain structural rigidity and control resonance.

Wharfedale’s SLPP bass reflex design utilises a downward-facing port with slot ports in the plinth to reduce turbulence and improve bass efficiency, a hallmark of Wharfedale’s engineering heritage.

The crossover network, designed by Peter Comeau, IAG’s Director of Acoustic Design, uses high-grade acoustically transparent components to ensure a seamless blend between drivers and preserve musical detail.

The Aura CS cabinet is crafted with smooth curves to disperse sound evenly and minimise undesirable reflections. Available in Black, White, and Walnut veneer finishes, the cabinet is lacquered and polished to a premium standard, with multi-layer construction to reduce panel resonance and prevent sound leakage.

Application

The Aura CS centre speaker complements the Aura series, which includes stand-mount and floorstanding models (Aura 1, 2, 3, and 4) and optional custom-engineered stands. It is ideal for immersive home theatre setups, delivering clear dialogue and dynamic sound effects.
