Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor Hood — a protective sun/rain shield that mounts over the Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor detector to reduce false alarms from direct sunlight and rain.

The Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor Hood attaches to the AJAX-MP-OUT-W detector and provides a physical canopy that blocks direct sun and rain from hitting the PIR lens. Bright sunlight entering the sensor at certain angles can cause false triggers; the hood eliminates this without affecting the detection field. It is also useful in exposed installations where rain runoff across the lens could cause interference. Designed specifically for the MotionProtect Outdoor form factor — no tools required for fitting.
