The Imix HD44-S1 is a 40W compression driver designed for horn-loaded high-frequency reproduction in professional PA speaker systems. Compression drivers are the high-frequency transducer at the throat of a horn — they convert the electrical signal into sound at high efficiency and controlled directivity, making them the standard choice for long-throw PA, line arrays, and large-format speaker systems. The HD44-S1 is the entry-level model in the Imix HD44 series. The lightweight diaphragm construction minimises moving mass for extended high-frequency response and low distortion at high SPL. Designed to mate with standard 44mm throat horn drivers.
