The Imix IMDFS02 Feedback Destroyer is a digital audio signal processor designed to automatically detect and suppress acoustic feedback in PA systems. Acoustic feedback - the howling or squealing caused when sound from loudspeakers re-enters an open microphone - is a common problem in live sound, conference rooms, houses of worship, and installed PA. The IMDFS02 continuously monitors the audio signal for feedback frequencies and applies narrow parametric notch filters to cut those frequencies before feedback builds, reducing howl and squeal without significantly affecting overall sound quality. An updated model to the IMDFS01. Suited to sound engineers, AV integrators, and installers deploying PA in challenging acoustic environments where feedback risk is high.
