At its core is the patented IDEEA (IntelliDrive Energy Efficient Amplifier) technology, which produces high power with very low distortion while minimising mains current draw. The amplifier features a proprietary Rail Sensing Limiter (RSL) that reduces signal clipping and ensures high-quality audio output. Users can configure output thresholds for Hi-Z (70 V) or Lo-Z (69.3 V peak) settings. The RSL circuit optimises output for instantaneous load conditions and supports asymmetric loading, allowing unequal power distribution between channels or mono operation. This flexibility enables driving a subwoofer on one channel and 70 V distributed ceiling loudspeakers on the other. With a peak output power to AC mains current draw ratio of approximately 400:1, the amplifier offers remarkable efficiency.
