Monitor Audio Climate 50 - Weatherproof Outdoor Speakers Pair The Monitor Audio Climate 50 (CL50) is a premium weatherproof outdoor speaker pair featuring advanced C-CAM® driver technology for clear highs and dynamic lows. Designed for durability and superior sound performance, these speakers are ideal for any outdoor audio setup. Product Overview The CL50 is a two-way satellite speaker housing a single 5" C-CAM® bass driver and a 1" C-CAM gold dome tweeter. Developed by Monitor Audio, the innovative C-CAM alloy—originally conceived for aerospace applications—ensures accurate sound reproduction and robust reliability. Each speaker includes heavy-duty brackets mounted at either end, allowing 175º of horizontal or vertical rotation in small, non-slip increments. Magnetic end caps protect the bracket terminals and simplify repositioning. An installation wedge is supplied to extend the angle of rotation by an additional 15º for enhanced flexibility. The bracket and wedge design also allow cables to run through them for a cleaner, neater installation. The solid, sealed, high-density polypropylene enclosures are treated to resist moisture and prolonged UV exposure, while aluminium grilles and rugged brackets prevent rust and corrosion. For aesthetic versatility, the CL50 cabinet can be custom painted to match or contrast with surroundings. A paint mask is included with each speaker. Note that painting polypropylene requires special primers and paints designed for plastics; Monitor Audio does not endorse any specific brand. Sound quality is further enhanced by an Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) that enriches low frequencies with extra punch and penetration, optimising performance in open environments.
