Design and Technology

The Isis employs a unique current-to-voltage conversion using discrete Class A operational amplifiers and filters, avoiding standard integrated circuits to maximise sonic quality. The analogue and digital sections are carefully isolated with substantial ground planes and separate power supplies to maintain signal integrity. High-quality audio-grade electrolytic, polypropylene, polyester film, and solid polymer capacitors are used throughout.

The digital section features a blueprinted mechanism with improvements to the optical amplifier, DSP core, PLL, master clock, and motor power supplies, all supported by dedicated transformers and regulators. The servo and optical amplifiers are optimally matched to enhance error correction and playback reliability.

The Isis analyses each disc during initialisation, adjusting settings to ensure optimal reading even from discs with marks or scratches that other players may struggle with.
