Vinyl playback
The MusicCast VINYL 500 (TT-N503) is a belt-drive, DC-motor turntable. Yamaha specifies wow and flutter of 0.2 %, rotation-speed variation of ±2 %, and a 30 cm aluminium die-cast platter. The static-balance straight tonearm has an effective length of 223.5 mm and 19 mm overhang. An MM cartridge is attached. Set the audio-output switch to LINE OUT to use the built-in phono equaliser, or to PHONO OUT to feed an external phono stage.
MusicCast, network and Bluetooth
Register the unit with MusicCast CONTROLLER to play records, internet radio, network files and Bluetooth audio, and to share playback with other MusicCast devices. Wired Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi are provided. AirPlay 2 requires iOS 11.4 or later. Bluetooth on this model is a sink: the unit plays audio sent from a Bluetooth source device (it is not specified as a Bluetooth transmitter to headphones).
